Carolina Hurricanes 2019 Playoff Activation

We partnered up with the Carolina Hurricanes to create an interactive photo experience for Hurricanes fans. The Hurricanes wanted to build on the excitement of the Stanley Cup Playoffs returning to Raleigh, the first time in 10 seasons for the Hurricanes.

Our team worked closely with the Hurricanes marketing team to create an activation that fit their marketing goals for the playoffs. We came up with a photo experience where Carolina Hurricanes fans could be immersed into the eye of the hurricane, along with an overlay that showed off the Hurricanes’s Stanley Cup Playoff branding.

The Results

During the activation we did over 300 GIFs. These GIFs could be shared instantly on social media. In total the activation generated over 35,000 social media impressions, helping build up the excitement that the Carolina Hurricanes were back in the Stanley Cup Playoffs!

Activation Customization

Custom Branded Photo Station - For this activation we put together a wrap for the photo station that would stand out inside the arena to draw fans into the activation as well as another opportunity to share the Hurricanes Stanley Cup Playoffs logo.

Customized GIF Delivery Microsite - Every photo guest receives a link to download their photo off a customized microsite. For the Hurricanes we designed a microsite that helped promote the use of their hashtag “#TakeWarning”, along with call to action links that led fans to check out information for season tickets for next season and a separate link to purchase Carolina Hurricanes apparel.
